When you through a party your always looking for your guests to have the best time and it is hard to know when you have enough of everything. Well here is the rule of thumb I use when planning and creating my parties. They say always have enough its better to have more then not enough!
Well guess what? It's NOT! What do you do with all the leftovers what do you do with all the time it takes to prep and cook when your guest are here? Great question you send it home with everyone and it sits in there car or there fridge til it goes in the trash. You have to look at things different and change your mind set.
Knowing that each person can sample something is key! Have enough that everyone can get a taste but not over fill because there is always such a variety at parties! Also know that if you run out its okay too because there is always other food out and someone can eat. There is no extra waste and you don't have a ton of leftovers to try to send home or fit in your fridge and pray you eat it quick enough.
Try to gauge your menu more on a tasting side different apps for people to have, different main menu options and always limit your dessert! As much as dessert catches the eye and makes the party look so cute and fun most people don't make it to dessert and it ends up going to waste.
