Welcome to my blog for SC Family Pary LLC! This first post is going to allow you to see how this business all started. I have always been into planning and creating but never thought to much about it as a job or a passion. A lot of friends and family have asked me to help them plan a party or help contribute to a party but I really never stepped out onto my own to throw my own parties. This was until my brother was getting married and COVID through a wrench into all their plans over and over again. The defeat on them made it to where they left the party planning behind and decided to go out and do a very small beach wedding with the parents and a few friends.
This had been something they were looking forward too for so long that I had to sit back and know that I could not be apart of their big day. So knowing that this is something they really wanted I took it upon myself to throw my first real party! And something you'll learn from this page is I go big. So how do I tackle such a huge moment, keep it a surprise and get this all accomplished? Well I started with what most people do first, I went to pinterest and started getting ideas.
I started with the baking side of it as this is one expensive that can get very costly and said okay lets start practicing and see where we land. So one big thing for parties in this time was specialized cookies and cupcakes. I started with learning how to make sugar cookies that tasted good and would hold up for decorating and to my surprise I did it! They came out cute and charming and it was something that I was definitely proud of. (Which I will add the pictures so you can see) With tackling this I moved on to figuring out the rest of the dessert bar, because what wedding isn't filled without a great dessert bar! Here came the cupcakes and this one was definitely a fun one to tackle and let the creative side of me out.
Luckily my husbands job loves some good sweets to be the perfect taste testers! With being able to tackle in my head the hardest party of any party the desserts I was able to figure out how I wanted this vision to come to life. I wanted it to be a very nice and easy fun night for everyone like the way a wedding should be something the bride and groom could enjoy and have no stress or hassle. Just like a solid fun night to really just enjoy. But how did we come to this conclusion of what the night should be like? Well we talked to people who got married and asked what did you love about your wedding and what would you have changed. In this the most common theme was we wish we would have enjoyed more, we wish that the wedding felt more for us and not our guests and this is where the light bulb went off.
How do I give my brother the perfect night with this wife? I make it one night they can enjoy and never forget! We had the perfect set up of food that all could enjoy, we had the bar set up with everything you could want, we had the bartender, the baby sitters, the dessert bar, decorations and last but not least we had the friends and family around. One thing you might be thinking is well great you had all but where did you find the perfect location and still keep the party a huge secret. That's an excellent thing to think about and its simple! The most perfect party is HOME. Not everyone has the space or what they feel is the perfect location but family is key is this picture because I used my parents home and we kept everything outside.
To get this party to where I wanted it to be took vision taking a space and trying to figure out how to bring it lot life and that's with anything. No matter how you feel about your space or someone else's space you can always find beauty in it and make it your own. But here is what I can tell you! This party was a huge success and it was one that really brought my confidence to a whole new leave.
I hope that you found this story helpful and something that can help inspire you to take on any kind of party. Big or small and remember any space can be transformed and any party can be done it's just a matter of how you look at the situation.
Hope to see you soon!
