Who doesn't love Easter? The Easter Egg Hunts all the kids running around having the best time just excited to find an egg outside or even inside (weather depending). This is something that I look forward to every year especially since my son has been about 2 but we started at 3 years old. We have a big family so it's always a nice reason to have all the kids and cousins together to run around and have a good time.
But a lot of kids doesn't that mean its going to be expensive? Well yes it can be but if you shop smart and think outside of the box it doesn't have to be. How? Why? What do you mean shop smart?
All Great questions and great tips here for you! Well target always runs an after holiday clearance for the New Year on toys. You can snag cool Lego sets, dinos and much more for 70% off. So I normally look for these deals because although they do not fit into the eggs, I put a little label in each egg and then they get to pick from the prize table! This way parents aren't going home with things that will go in the trash and the kids get things that they will actually like. I also like to go to the dollar store for puzzles, nail polish, make up, face masks and a few of there good toys that they have. The girls are easy whether they are young or older because the dollar store has dolls and selfcare, make up and accessories for all ages of girls. For the boys the dollar store always has a good selection of balls; basketballs, footballs, soft balls and like kickball kind of things and since after Easter it's getting warmer its the perfect thing for each kid to take home.
I love explaining how you can save and little tips I use to change what once was and how I transform it and put my own spin on things. Not everything is meant to stay the same and thinking outside of the box helps with making things fun and more affordable. I do love doing little personalized Easter baskets for each kid and has them filled with little things I know they'll love. Although I would love to take credit for all the work and the supplies my family really pulls together in these situations to do a little for everyone which is what makes this so special.
Remember there's nothing wrong with inviting people and asking them to bring something or grabbing a group of friends/family to say lets through this event together.
